Hello Midnight community,
I’d like to share an idea that I believe could strengthen the overall developer experience within the Midnight ecosystem.
This proposal is not about creating new programs or replacing existing initiatives. Instead, it suggests organizing the excellent programs that Midnight already offers into a single, structured developer journey.
I would greatly appreciate the community’s feedback on whether this approach could strengthen Midnight’s long-term developer ecosystem.
The Idea
Midnight already provides several valuable developer initiatives, including:

Midnight Academy

Aliit

Build Club
-
Night Sky
Each of these initiatives serves an important purpose individually. However, from the perspective of someone discovering Midnight for the first time, they can appear as separate opportunities rather than parts of one connected ecosystem.
My proposal is to present these initiatives as a unified developer journey, allowing developers to clearly understand how they can progress within the ecosystem.
The journey would be:
Learn → Practice → Build → Scale
This creates a natural progression where every stage prepares participants for the next.
Proposed Developer Journey
Stage 1 — Midnight Academy
Learn
Developers begin by learning the fundamentals of Midnight, including Compact, programmable privacy, zero-knowledge concepts, and the architecture of the ecosystem.
Stage 2 — Aliit
Practice
After building a strong theoretical foundation, developers reinforce their knowledge through hands-on exercises and practical development.
This stage bridges the gap between learning and real-world building.
Stage 3 — Build Club
Build
Developers collaborate with others, receive mentorship, and build real applications that contribute to the Midnight ecosystem.
Learning becomes production.
Stage 4 — Night Sky
Scale
Developers who have demonstrated technical capability receive support to transform promising projects into sustainable products or startups through mentorship, networking, and ecosystem guidance.
Building becomes entrepreneurship.
Why This Could Benefit Midnight
This proposal does not introduce new initiatives.
Instead, it focuses on improving how existing programs are connected and presented.
A unified developer journey could:

This proposal could be implemented without creating any new programs.
Some possible improvements include:

Creating a dedicated Developer Journey page on the Midnight website or documentation.

Displaying the complete journey as a visual roadmap.

Linking each initiative to its recommended next step.

Using the same journey consistently across documentation, community events, workshops, and educational materials.
These changes would primarily improve communication, discoverability, and the overall developer experience.
Conclusion
Midnight already has the essential building blocks for an outstanding developer ecosystem.
This proposal simply suggests connecting those building blocks into one coherent journey.
By presenting Midnight Academy, Aliit, Build Club, and Night Sky as successive stages of developer growth, Midnight can provide a clearer, more accessible, and more sustainable experience for every developer entering the ecosystem.
