NMKR is providing the community with a repo for collaboration on the standards for NFTs on Midnight. This, I think, is particularly useful for privacy-preserving Digital Identity NFTs and protocol level wallets. Please visit the repo and let them know what is important to you to include into the standards:
OpenZeppelin is also working on a standard for NFTs, it could be interesting to compare the two proposals: NonFungibleToken - OpenZeppelin Docs
Oh wow yes thats correct, I had forgotten about that. I would definitely be interested in a comparison between the two to get us closer to a single source of truth. Iād love to see how the two standards overlap, and if there is a way to add the complementary parts to each while looking at different approaches of each to gauge pros and cons. I forked that repo from OpenZeppelin as soon as it came out, then quickly forgot it for now, not realizing that it was their version of NFT DID standards. How would you approach it? Would you reach out to one or both about integrating standards, or would you review them both separately and then propose changes to each individually? Eric from Edda Labs is a mentor of mine of sorts and has been working with me to think about a clever way to incentivise project working on similar products to collaborate on similar tooling instead of building in a siloed vacuum.
claude_barde I would love ot hear your thoughts on how to nudge these two critters together towards a single source of truth. While I could parse the data with Ai, the technical side of the standards are outside of my skillset right now. I deal in high level broad strokes where I have deep opinions as to the future for privacy preserving DID NFTs for the suite of products I aspire to one day release and foster.
I have used it on my own and then did again for the midnight kitty tuturial.. good stuff.. I already have it in part of a dapp I am building..
