Hey that would be excellent!! Beside EVM, is there any type of integration in the works to bridge Midnight/Cardano? I am interested in learning more about this and connecting with projects working on these capabilities.
My two cents: User wallet experience is one of the main aspects. Cross-chain wallet support, and what I mean with that, is the ability for users to link (or generate proofs) participant’s wallets involved in chain A operations (i.e. Cardano, EVM) and private data (Midnight) so UX is not degraded as multiple chains will be involved: tx confirmation (& signatures), private session/data management… The main goal is to avoid for regular users to open multiple wallets and systematically restore/save private user data involved on these type of operations… Ability to query multi-chain address content seamlessly (this is more from the dev side I see but any abstraction or wrapper would be helpful). Crosschain bridges or wrappers for asset transfers in & out would be amazing instead of every project trying to come up with their own approach. MPC account abstraction to handle multichain (public and private) sign-in…
I think you might want to dive into the lace wallet.. the one that is live.. Just for ideas.. I am also coming from outside the cardano community and noticed that the dapps in the lace wallet seem to be the secret sauce.. and I am hearing that it will be multi chain very soon.. It was just a place to give me ideas.. then look into the midnight lace wallet api code.. could help you come together with your thoughts.. hope that helps.. same for you @luislucena .. I think today’s fireside helped answer some of your questions as well
hey @Jnmcro / @IslandghostSteph thank you so much for the feedback / comments, It is very valuable to us; the goal is to build something that is useful for the community!
and yes Steph, I got direct feedback at the fireside
Hi Luis! your proposal for a multi-chain bridge between EVM and Midnight seems very promising. I see potential for other projects that are currently being developed and validated. In my case, I’d be interested in integrating it into fiat payment flows (through payment gateways that settle in stablecoins on EVM) and also in scenarios that require interoperability with other chains
