All stability issues affecting the Cardano Preview Testnet have been successfully resolved, resulting in the Midnight Testnet (testnet-02) returning to full operation. Following a period of active resolution, the crucial functions on-chain are now stable.
Please ensure you are using the latest compatible releases of the Midnight-Lace wallet, docker images, and node packages. Ensure your applications reflect the latest package versions. You can find further information on compatible versions in the network support matrix.
For SPOs and Midnight Block Producers
No re-registration is needed, however please ensure to:
- Use the latest Cardano node version 10.5.3
- Set env
CARDANO_CONFIG_JSON_MERGE={"ConsensusMode": "PraosMode"}for your Cardano node - Resync your db sync nodes to 13.6.0.5
Please follow the guidance above to apply the necessary updates, otherwise you carry a significant risk of encountering issues previously experienced. Specifically, this could lead to Cardano node forks and subsequent data incompatibility with db sync, resulting in service interruption for both the synchronization process and the dependent Midnight node.
