Self Introduction

Hello Midnight Network!

I’m Juan Sierra, based in South Florida, and I’m here to learn and contribute. I’m also active as an Intersect Cardano Product Committee member, which keeps me grounded in product thinking, real-world use cases, and adoption.

I’m a cofounder/collaborator in a Haiti Telemedicine initiative where selective privacy is essential (patients, clinicians, sensitive health data). Florida International University (FIU) — one of the largest universities in the U.S. — is collaborating, including support from the Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work at FIU, to document outcomes and publish a scientific paper on what we believe is a first-of-its-kind real-world implementation: bringing capability and trust to the edges in rural Haiti first, then scaling globally.

In parallel, FIU is preparing for broader Cardano expansion through 2026 curriculum and year-round builder activity. Between the FIU Senior Design Showcase (100+ innovation projects) and a club running multi-industry hackathons throughout the year, I’m aiming to introduce Midnight as a new initiative for FIU — introducing privacy-first use cases, developer tracks, and hackathon-ready patterns teams can ship.

We’re also at Phase Zero for the first Miami on-chain Builder Feast to connect builders and educators from diverse industries and turn conversations into shipped pilots, while strengthening a Cardano South Florida corridor. If you share that vision, I’d love to connect.

I’d love to connect around:

  • Privacy-preserving healthcare

  • Developer onboarding

  • Hackathon-ready starter kits

  • Partnerships (universities / NGOs / public sector)

Grateful to be here — looking forward to building together.
