Hello anyone with insights to this error
Anytime I try compiling template apps it swirls
Compiling 1 circuits:
circuit “increment” | Exception: zkir returned a non-zero exit status -4
I have not run into this. Which example are you following? If you are going through the counter example, you should be able to follow along on the docs or repo.
Yes it’s the example counter on the docs and repo and trying to run it has been futile with that error hanging
Please provide more information regarding your complier version and developer environment. It could be an issue with an old zkir binary on your system. I recommend deleting the compact developer tool along with any other installations of older compact versions from your development environment and reinstalling the compact developer tool
We tested this about an hour ago and did not run into any issues. As Emnul said, it’s a bit hard to trouble shoot without additional context. As he suggested I would try installing the compiler again using these instructions Midnight Docs
