DUST balance not increasing despite active generation rate

What are you trying to do?
Generate DUST from my NIGHT balance using the official DUST Generator.

What’s not working or unclear?
The generator shows everything connected and generation active, but my DUST balance appears stuck at approximately 1.26K DUST.

Current status:

  • NIGHT balance: ~2.68K NIGHT
  • Generation rate: 26.579 DUST/h
  • Cap: 13.40K DUST
  • DUST balance: ~1.26K DUST
  • Cardano generating address: connected ✓
  • Midnight recipient address: connected ✓
  • Generator shows STOP GENERATION, indicating generation is active

The balance has appeared stuck around 1.26K for at least several days. I don’t remember exactly when I first noticed it, but at 26.579 DUST/h I would expect a noticeable increase by now.

What have you tried so far?
I’ve confirmed both addresses are connected and recognized. The generator correctly detects my NIGHT balance and calculates a generation rate and cap, but the displayed DUST balance doesn’t appear to increase.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the current generator status. I can provide Registration UTXO details, browser information, or other non-sensitive diagnostic information if needed.

Hey @SalsActual welcome!

At 26.579 DUST/h, you should see a noticeable increase over a few days, so ~1.26K staying flat is worth checking.

The generator can show an active rate from your NIGHT balance, but DUST only accrues if:

  1. Your registration is still valid on-chain, and
  2. The backing NIGHT UTXO is still unspent on Cardano.

Can you share:

  • Mainnet or preprod?
  • Your Cardano stake/reward address
  • Your registration UTXO (tx hash + output index) is it still unspent?
  • Does Lace/1AM show the same ~1.26K DUST?
  • Any NIGHT moved/spent since you registered?

Most often this is a spent registration UTXO or a stale UI balance. If everything above checks out and it’s still stuck 24h+, open a service desk issue with those details and we can dig deeper.
