Eclipse Content Bounty | Review Update (Two-Week Extension)

Hey everyone,

Another quick update on where things stand with Eclipse reviews.

Where we are

When we initially set the timeline, we planned for a week of reviews. We extended by another week to be thorough. We’re now extending by two additional weeks. The original timeline didn’t reflect what reviewing this round actually requires.

One thing worth saying upfront is that this round is meaningfully higher than Round 1. More submissions than expected are landing as legitimate entries that need real evaluation, not pattern-matching. That’s a good problem, but it does mean more time.

A few things have made this longer than we expected:

  • Submission volume is significantly higher than Round 1, with multiple submissions per bounty across most categories.
  • Eclipse uses head-to-head comparison, not pass/fail, reviewers are evaluating entries against each other to identify the strongest valid submission per bounty, not just checking that each one meets a baseline.
  • Technical depth varies a lot, Tier 3 submissions in particular (full DApps, working contracts, integrated frontends) take real time to verify end-to-end, including compiling Compact code, checking SDK calls against canonical references, and validating that working repos actually work.
  • AI-content checks are part of the process, distinguishing AI-assisted-but-verified work from AI-fabricated work requires careful review, not pattern-matching.

We’d rather take the extra time and get this right than rush results and have to walk things back.

What this means for you

  • Reviews continue through the next two weeks. I’ll share a status update mid-point so you know we’re still moving.
  • Feedback on winning submissions will land with the announcement. As mentioned earlier feedback is limited to the best valid submission per bounty.
  • Non-winning submissions will not receive individual reviewer feedback, but we’ll share aggregate learnings after the round closes so everyone can benefit from what came up across the program.
  • Payouts go out after the public announcement, with claim instructions sent directly to winners.

If you have any question, drop them here. Thanks again for the patience and for the work you put in.
